simon amstell!!!

let's start with sunday.
there's this thing called the logies in australia, which is essentially the australian version of the emmys. one of my favourite comedians, josh thomas was shown on screen for 2 instances/split seconds, so being the mad person i was, i jumped onto trusty google and searched for pictures of him at the event. fyi, i had to do this because he wasn't nominated and hence wasn't interviewed on the red carpet. anyways, this lead me to reading his twitter and among the loads of links i clicked, one was of tom ballard, another comedian and radio dj. it was mentioned in his twitter that he interviewed simon amstell(!!!).

this was my thought process: simon amstell! i am so jealous! wait a minute, this means that simon amstell is in melbourne! omg, could it be for the comedy festival?

after checking online, i found that he was performing this whole week! but being the cheapskate that i was i looked for other events that he was doing. turns out that he will be performing with other artists like mark watson, tim key and tim fitzhigham at a cheaper price and much smaller venue. they were all great and since simon was the final act of the night, i did a mini-stalk as he walked out the venue. he stopped to talk to someone 15 paces later and mini-stalk was over. oh wells, at least i got to saw him LIVE! :D

after that, while i was walking home, some guy came up to me and asked me if we wanted to grab a drink together. i must've given him a blur look because he backed off fairly quickly. HA! first time for everything.

what do you think about the following line?
